The Probus Club of Ararat had 43 members travel to Melbourne by train on October 22 for their annual mystery trip.

This excursion took in Parliament House and the MCG with comprehensive tours of both venues. Planning is well underway for their Caravan and Cabin trip to Mildura in March 2019, where they will spend four nights exploring the attractions of the city. Their Annual Bowls tournament will be held at Ararat Bowls Club on March 25, 2019, and this will attract more than 100 Probian players from across the region, some travelling from as far away as Nhill, Hopetoun and Warrnambool!

For the safety of members, the Club wished to purchase a defibrillator, so they applied for grants locally and were successful in getting monies  from Ararat RSL Community Grants and Pitch Music Arts and Community Grants. This, together with a member donation, gave us sufficient  funds to purchase the machine.
