Probus Club of Kenmore Village BBQ

Here are some photos of the Probus Club of Kenmore Village members enjoying a BBQ on 3rd January, 2018.

KENMORE VILLAGE PROBUS CLUB are back to routine in the New Year with monthly meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, next being: 9.30am, Tuesday 13 February, at the Kenmore Library.  The Club launched the year with a Picnic Soiree and the enjoyable “Knowledge/Trivia/Musicals” Challenge!

Guest speakers keep members well informed and we have been immersed in the history of “Charge at Beersheba” (by member Coral Johnson) as well as why passengers wanted to make the Brisbane to Sydney flight of the “Stinson Air Crash” (Philip Castle of our local Men’s Shed).  Of late, the member ten minute speaker places have been taken by Gordon Hill on his exploits serving on an Australian destroyer in the Mediterranean during WWII, Paul Gustafson on the Canberra War Memorial tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Judy King drawing on her career in timber, about “Termites”.

The first major outing is on in Tuesday 27 February for a QPAC Backstage Tour.

If you would like to learn more about the fun, fellowship, food and friendliness of the Club, contact President Royce Allan on 3378 7515, [email protected] or Secretary Lorna Williams on 3378 9539, [email protected] for Probus interest only please.
