Chow time

On Thursday, February 20, seven Marrara Probus Club members enjoyed a great lunch at the “Chow” Vietnamese Restaurant at the Waterfront Precinct.

The meals were most enjoyable and there were certainly enough choices to satisfy all different food likings. The traditional pork spring rolls of four crispy rolls with fresh lettuce to wrap them in and nuoc cham dipping sauce was a favourite for several members; the korma of braised lamb with jasmine rice and local mango chutney an equal favourite, along with the nasi goreng of Malay spicy fried rice with shrimp, sambal and fried egg. Washed down with a cool drink, these meals were most satisfying.

Conversation was light and enjoyed by all as members enjoyed another convivial luncheon celebrating the Friendship and Fellowship that Probus Clubs provide.
