The Melbourne winter has certainly caught up with us with vengeance, a few of our members have probably left for a warmer climate and many of us would like to be doing so.
For those who are not intending to migrate to the warmer Northern States the Club has in planning a variety of activities which should help brighten up this chilly period of the year.
Look out especially for the future home progressive stationary lunches, the Boroondara musical events and the outings Norma has already in train. For those less hardy souls who don't wish to join Diana taking in some fresh air on her suburban scenic walks you may consider pulling up a chair at Val's place on the 3rd Tuesday of the month for a chat, a cuppa or doing a bit of optional craft work if you desire.
I still haven't mentioned the normal monthly dine out or the after meeting lunch at the Kew Golf Club which has a very well priced lunch and is set in delightful surroundings. The popularity of Faye's Palace Balwyn movie days has certainly grown over the last year. It maybe the theatre is showing better films on the concession days or the fact that our members really enjoy the fellowship with a light lunch in the cafe over the road from the theatre. Anyway, look out for the theatre announcements which David and Faye send out.
Lastly, please mark in your diary Monday 6 November 2023 (day before Melbourne Cup Day). It will be a Probus meeting day but we have some surprises in store to make this another special day to remember. LOCK IT IN NOW.
Hope to see you all at the next meeting.
