The Probus Club of Phillip Island Inc.

Information about one of the local Probus Clubs situated in Phillip Island and the Bass Coast




Each year, activities included:
1. BBQs for Australia Day, the President’s Day, and Friendship Day with Probus clubs in the area.
2. Dine Outs where we usually meet each month at a restaurant for a meal followed by informal socializing.
3. A walking group meets regularly; weather permitting; for a gentle stroll and finish at an eatery. We go into recess in the winter months.
4. Trips away. Last year we've been to Melbouurne City & Barham. This year we were at Dromana and a trip is planned to Geelong in March 2018.
5. Day trips. Each month we plan a trip. Sometimes these are to shows, vineyards & places of interest. We have been to Tesselaars Tulip Farm and the Wild Dog Winery recently. 
Some members recently tried Ten Pin Bowling and we now play a contest with a neighbouring Probus club.
6. Monthly meetings present a variety of speakers;

Consumer Affairs.
Lighthouse Foundation.
Puffing Billy Society.
Glaucoma Australia,
Nordic Walking,
Nurses on Call,
An ex policewoman talking of her experiences in the Police Force.
An interesting programme is being arranged for this year, including information
on a “Family building projects in Cambodia”.

We participate in as many Probus organised events as possible.

We have our own lending library and members borrow on an honesty system and is available at each meeting.
