Happy 25th!

Over 100 members and guests gathered to celebrate the 25th anniversary meeting of the Mont Albert Probus Club with a lunch at the Box Hill Golf Club.

It was particularly gratifying that nine foundation members, many Past Presidents and other committee members, who had served the Club over the past 25 years, were able to attend. A very special event took place at the meeting when the daughter and son-in-law of one of our inaugural members, Barbara Campbell, were inducted into the Club at this meeting. To have two generations as members is a unique occurrence for our Club.

Two of the foundation members, Barbara Jenkins and Ian Shand, spent many hours writing a history of the Club and a copy was given to each member at the end of the celebration. The printing was provided by Jacinta Collins MP.  The support from her office in printing the monthly newsletter and now this history is very much appreciated. 

Mont Albert Probus Club has always had an active membership and for many years a waiting list for new members. The success is mainly due to the wide range of activities offered each month, the willingness of members to be active in the organisation and the spirit of friendship.
