WIN: Young at Heart film festival tickets
24 Feb 2015
There’s nothing quite like the experience of going to the movies - snacking on some popcorn, enjoying a choc top ice-cream and watching a fabulous film. We’re giving away free tickets to the Young at Heart Film Festival next month to one lucky Probus club member.
To go in the running to win tickets to the festival, simply upload photos of yourself to our Facebook page, showing us how you are really ‘young at heart’. Perhaps you have a love of yoga, enjoy swimming at the beach or playing a game of footy with your grandchildren. We’d love to see your photos.
Entries close 1 March. Visit our Facebook page here.
Dedicated to seniors, the Young at Heart Film Festival is a flagship event of NSW Seniors Week and for the first time, it will extend to Melbourne and Canberra. An enthusiastic group of rapping Kiwi seniors entering a hip-hop competition in Las Vegas and a successful actress preparing for the role of her life are just two of the stories that will be told on the silver screen.
“Seniors are Australia's fastest growing cinema audience and over the 10 years, Young at Heart has become a fun and inclusive social event where Australians over 60 can walk down the red carpet, see award-winning premieres, take part in Q&As with filmmaker and meet like-minded film lovers. We are thrilled to now be able to share this magic with new friends in Melbourne and Canberra," said Festival Director Matt Ravier.
The program will include acclaimed feature films, some of which will screen in Australia for the first time, as well as classic movies and Q&As with the filmmakers. Films include Elsa and Fred, Clouds of Sils Maria, Walking the Camino, The Way We Were and Leviathan.
Selected films will be screened at several locations in western Sydney and over 40 regional towns across New South Wales.
Tickets start from $7 ($6 for Palace Cinema Club members). Screenings will take place in Sydney at Palace Verona and Palace Norton Street, in Melbourne at Palace Balywn and Palace Brighton Bay and in Canberra at Palace Electric.
