What’s on: Feb, Mar

There’s plenty to see and do this month, from international blockbuster art exhibitions to a celebration of all things floral.

Escher X Nendo

Most people are familiar with the impossible staircases of artist MC Escher but this new show at Melbourne’s NGV goes much further. The Dutch artist was a master of intricate lino-cut prints and his works are housed within the incredible design of Japanese design house Nendo. Just as Escher sought to show 3D works in a 2-D format, Nendo renders his print world in a series of three-dimensional works.

Ends April 7

Since 1993, the APT series has drawn more than three million visitors and boasts one of the world’s most significant collections of contemporary Asian and Pacific art. Check the gallery for late-night sessions too.
