Happy birthday, Tobruk

Balloons, streamers, birthday cake, and yes, you guessed it – plenty of Probians!

Tobruk Sydney (Tobruk Sheep Station) celebrates 30 years of continuous operation during 2019 and what better way to celebrate than to share it with some of the “dinky-di” Probus Clubs from around Australia. Thousands of seniors have visited Tobruk over the last 30 years (many two or three times!) and there is no doubt that many readers will have very fond memories of their day at Tobruk

In May, Canterbury Probus Club, Killarney Heights Probus Club and Australian Unity – Aboriginal Home Care joined forces at Tobruk to celebrate this wonderful milestone, and what a wonderful day it was. Rod, Nick and the whole Tobruk team (including their amazing kelpies) entertained everyone in the usual humorous manner with scrumptious billy tea and damper and Armondo’s amazing BBQ lunch – including birthday cake!
