Probus “Friendship Day” at the Wetlands

The Wetlands hosted a special “Friendship Day” for the Hunter Region Probus Association in early April. This comprised of Probus Clubs from the Hunter Region who meet together at four General Meetings each year to discuss any issues or compare activities from their respective Clubs.

The “Friendship Day” was organised by the Hunter Region Committee as a purely social day for any Clubs who wished to attend.  It was attended by 70 Probus Club members from approximately 25 Clubs from the Hunter Region.

The day started with rain but by the time everyone was in attendance the sun came out and a great day was had by all who attended.

As you can see from the photos of the day there were guided walks and the Wetlands made available four ‘buggies’ to take anyone who could not do the walks.  Each of the drivers and guides know the Wetlands very well, so could give a great insight into what happens around the Wetlands site, both past and any future developments.

The Hunter Region Probus Association Committee wishes to thank the CEO, Stuart Blanch and the many wonderful volunteer guides and drivers and all the helpers from the Wetlands who gave everyone a wonderful day to remember.  (Photos by Coralie Watson from New Lambton Ladies Probus Club)”
