Our last speaker on Monday 20th October was Tim Kilby who gave us manh insights to “Teaching in a One Teacher School”.
Monday 17th November: Val Dempsey, Senior Citizen of the Year, a St John’s voluntee for 50 years and an advocate for learnng first aid will give a talk on that subjec.
There's a list of guest speakers lined up for next year:
> Helen Musa, an arts commentator will be speaking in February on the Canberra arts scene, and Jackie Warburton, gardening writer, will talk on horticultural matters, perhaps in April.
> Linda Peek will be speaking on her book ‘Malta - A Childhood Under Seige’ at our June meeting. Tim Kilby will return for another talk on his school experiences in August.
> It is possible Jed Pearson, from Waterwatch will discuss Platypus and Rakali, the native water rat later in the year.
