Capalaba Probus Club is a Combined Club.  Club President, Angela Simpson, is committed to
ensuring that Club activities provide Fun and Friendship to all the members.

Monthly meetings are held at the Capalaba Sports Club, 113 Ney Road, Capalaba, Queensland,
commencing at 10.30 am on the 1st Wednesday of the month.

The Club was formed in June 2021.  On Wednesday, 19 May, 2021, at the Capalaba Sports
Club
, a group of 50 visitors met to be informed about Probus and forming the new club.
Representatives from the Probus Association of Queensland, the Rotary Club of Capalaba
and sponsor Trade Travel were present.

Capalaba is an urban locality in the City of Redland, Queensland, Australia.  

Redland City Council is a local government authority which includes the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, North Stradbroke Island and the mainland suburbs of Alexandra Hills · Birkdale · Capalaba · Cleveland · Mount Cotton · Ormiston · Redland Bay · Sheldon · Thorneside · Thornlands · Victoria Point · Wellington point.

The population estimate for Redland City as of the 30th June 2022 is 163,732.

The name of Capalaba is believed to be derived from the Indigenous Yugarabul word for the ringtail possum, a marsupial native to the area.  The town of Tingalpa was surveyed in 1863 with the name of the town changed to Capalaba in 1927.
