Fellow Probians,

 It was pleasing to see a greater attendance at our last meeting with our members and which was also bolstered by our own ladies and two members from the Probus Ladies Club of Carlingford.  I hope to see more of you at our next meeting when we will be formally voting on the merger of our club with the ladies club of Carlingford.

 For those of you who, for whatever reason, cannot attend you are reminded to return your proxy vote to Secretary, John Burton by Thursday 28th March. 

 It was great to have eight of our members participate in our first walking group on Friday 15th March.  The weather was fine and it was so pleasant to walk through part of Parramatta Park and also into part of Parramatta CBD.  A different walk will be proposed at the next meeting. 

 On a more sombre note I have been informed that Mike Hirschorn has suffered a stroke in the last week or so.  I understand he is recovering in Westmead Hospital.  We would all want to wish him a speedy recovery and know that our thoughts and prayers are with him and his wife, Terri and family.
