ABOUT US:
The Probus Club of Charlestown is a Men’s Probus Club catering for retired and semi-retired men with an interest in social and intellectual pursuits. Our meetings are friendly and convivial as one would expect and provide an opportunity for men to meet and participate in activities with like-minded men.
Our Club generally promotes an outing or a function on a monthly basis. As well as these activities a Walking Group comprising those with a more outdoor focus provides monthly walks of varying degrees of difficulty. A small group of Bowls enthusiasts participate in many Probus Bowls Days held around the Hunter Valley.
A “Major Trip” is conducted each year to a place or places of interest where up to a week of socialising and sightseeing is enjoyed by all of those who get their names in early for this popular event.
We feel that our Club has a friendly and comfortable atmosphere and many members remain in the Leagues Club after meetings to enjoy the social aspects of the Bar and Bistro.
