Our Chermside Probus Club received accreditation on the 24th March 1992.

We turned 25 this year (2017) and still have seventeen Foundation Members with us, continuing to enjoy our meetings and activities.

As part of our 25th Anniversary, which coincided with our Annual General Meeting, Management decided to surprise all of our members with a free morning tea, to celebrate this important day in our evolution calendar.

We decided it was time to honour our surviving Foundation members, and all these members were presented with a framed Certificate with their photo and a list of the names of the current surviving Foundation Members.  This came as a pleasant surprise to all of them.

We also provided an Anniversary cake which was cut by the oldest (as far as we know) Foundation Member present, Jack O’Brien, who had just turned 90 years of age.

It is pleasing to see we have enrolled enough younger members prepared to accept roles on the Management and other Committees to allow the Club to continue into the foreseeable future, and look forward to recruiting even more “youngsters” to replace the ageing “old guard”.
