June 19th Thursday: Butterfly Creek -Tom Pearce Drive (close to the airport)

Meet at 10:30am. We will start with Devonshire-type morning tea; then free time to wander the park.
A map is provided showing the pathways, viewing places including times when encounters are held.
The path is suitable for Mobility Walkers - there are a few steps to the playground areas but there is an
easy by-pass. The path leads through the Butterfly House, pass some exotic animals like the porcupine,
the lively Meerkats, Otters, the NZ Kiwi and Wetapunga and many others. At 1:00pm there is a special
encounter with NZ's only Saltwater Crocodiles. Also, for $3.50, there is a
7-min train ride around the park, which leaves hourly.
There are seats around the park to rest and the Cafe is available with counter food or more substantial
offerings for lunch.
Cost: $25 includes Entry and Morning Tea.
Transport: This is Self -Drive with good parking. Or you could check out - Public Transport -Bus 38
from Onehunga Transport Centre. It stops within a 5 min walk of the venue.

July 17th -Thursday: Mid-Year Lunch. Wellingtons Restaurant. Waipuna Lodge Mt Wellington. 12.00pm 

This is a Buffet Lunch – includes: Soup, Seafood, Salad, Hot offerings of Chicken, Fish, Roast and assorted Vegetable dishes. Also a choice of several desserts.

Cards 500 Group to meet at Unit 139/ 539 Mt Albert Rd, Ranfurly Village on Wednesday  at 12:45pm for a start at 1:00pm.
