Wednesday Short Walk Every Wednesday
Walks commence in the Car Park at 9.30am near the Info Centre and end at Mr Franks Cafe in Frankston at about 10.10 for coffee. If you can’t do the walk, arrive later and join in for coffee. Walk is easy and along flat paths.
Long Walk 1st Monday of month
Each month our co-ordinator arranges a walk on the Peninsula and we enjoy a coffee along the way or at the end. Walk takes about 1 ½ Hours.
Happy Hour & Half 1st Wednesday of month
We meet in members’ homes from 5.00 - 6.30pm BYO drinks and nibbles for a social evening.
Classic Movie night 2nd Saturday of month
Enjoy a favourite movie of yesteryear with an interval for refreshements provided by the members attending. 5.30pm, Parkside centre, Baxter Village.
Book Group 2nd Monday of month
Frankston Library supply the books and if you enjoy reading and discussing books you will like this one. We meet at the Baxter Village Parkside Centre 1.30pm
Dine Out (Evening) 2nd Tuesday of month
Everyone is welcome to come along to a hotel/restaurant in Frankston/Mornington area. We meet at the venue at 6.00pm.
Committee Meeting 2nd Friday of month
10am at the Parkside Centre Baxter Village
General Meeting 3rd Friday of month
9.30 for 10.00 am start at the Frankston Bowling Club, Yuille Street, Frankston. This is our Club’s main activity and all members are expected to attend regularly.
Film Night Tuesday after General Meeting
We meet at the Karingal Cinemas. Time and film announced at the General Meeting. We often meet for a coffee or meal before or after the movie, depending on the movie's starting time.
Luncheon 4th Thursday of month
Each month we meet at various venues in the Frankston-Mornington area at 12.00 pm.
Bike Ride 4th Friday of month
A group enjoy a bike ride somewhere on the Peninsula. Rides are generally over an hour or so and designed for limited fitness, always stopping for a coffee along the way.
Picnic in the Park Last Wednesday of month
Held during daylight saving period only. Pentland Gardens, Frankston, Gate 4 from 5.30pm. BYO Picnic and chair to enjoy a social evening.
Caravan & Cabin Trips
Twice a year usually in March and October. We spend 3-4 days away together, not too far away while visiting local attractions.
Outings and Cultural Events
About once a month a special outing or cultural event is organised or we visit a location of interest, an exhibition or see a play, show or musical show, which will be in advertised in the newsletter and at the General Meetings
Christmas Party 3rd Friday in December
Our December General Meeting is replaced with a Christmas Party. A great way to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year and enjoy a traditional Christmas Dinner.
