UPCOMING OUTINGS AND EVENTS 2024:

THURSDAY 29 FEBRUARY – a bus trip to Tropical Bus World at Duranbah in northern NSW. Because of daylight saving this will be an early start at 7.20am from the Showgrounds.  The cost of $70 will include the bus cost, morning tea, a Safari Tour and a light lunch of sandwiches Tropical World. The Safari Tour involves being driven around in a trailer behind a tractor. Delicious icecreams are also available for $8.90. I need to fill a large bus of 50 people to make this trip viable. THURSDAY 21 MARCH – Cross River Rail Experience.  This exhibit is situated in the CBD, at Level 1/151 Elizabeth Street. We will meet at the venue, which I believe is across from the Wintergarden Centre, at 10am. The tour takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Currently I am searching for a lunch venue nearby. The tour is free. You will need to find your own way there and by bus is probably the easiest. More information at the next meeting. The only cost for this day should be the cost of your lunch if you wish to stay.

FRIDAY 19 APRIL – bus trip to the Sunflower Festival at Kalbar in the Scenic Rim. This festival happens just once a year and we are booked for the opening day. I really need to fill a large bus again as I expect the cost will be around $70 (including lunch). I am currently in communication with some of the pubs in the area to book that part of the outing. The 4 day Trade Travel trip to Stanthorpe and the Jumpers and Jazz Festival (18 to 21 July) has 24 people booked. They have room for plenty more. I have the brochures if you are interested.
