The Combined Probus Club of Hutt Inc. meets monthly on the third Monday of the month excluding December and January at the Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club, 33 Military Road, Lower Hutt, at 10am.

The monthly meetings include Club Notices, and a Life and Times talk by a new member to the Club, which provides a good way of getting our members to get to know each other better. This is followed by morning tea or coffee and then a guest speaker who has something useful and interesting to inform and entertain the meeting whether it be about the problems of municipal rubbish collection or the experiences of the first New Zealand ambassador to the African Union.

The  Club has around twenty interest groups covering graded walking groups (The Cafe Strollers, Ramblers Group, and the more strenuous, Medium Walk), a garden group, a men’s lunch group and a women’s lunch group, a book group, as well as the popular Current Affairs and Future Issues group. You can also join a music group, or borrow jigsaws, or play pétanque.

The Club also arranges regular outings to places of interest: theatres, cinemas, concerts, and galleries, and from time to time excursions to other parts of the country. And any suggestions regarding a possible new interest group being established, the Committee will be eager to provide whatever help is needed to get the new group up and running.

Membership of the Club has expanded over the years and now stands at around 160. Visitors and prospective members are most welcome to attend the monthly meetings of the Club.
