Kingston Ladies Probus Club Inc

We represent ladies in the Kingborough Municipality, Tasmania, Australia.  Our Club was formed in 1991 with over 100 current members.  We have a very active Club with many Special Interest Groups and other activities (see next page).  We are dedicated to the promotion of Friendship, Fun and Intellectual Stimulation.

We meet every 3rd Monday of the month at 10:00 am at the Kingborough Community Hall, 35 Redwood Road, Kingston, Tasmania, 7050.  A short business session is followed by tea/coffee where members can socialise.  A guest speaker follows and the meeting concludes around 11:45 am.

Our Club is managed by a Committee of 16 and we produce an informative newsletter every month for our members.

We always welcome new members.

Origins - PROBUS originated in the UK in 1965.  The first Probus Clubs were formed in NZ in 1974 and in Australia in 1976.  All Clubs are sponsored by Rotary Clubs, but, on formation are self governing.  The Clubs bring retired and semi-retired people together to provide regular opportunities for them to keep their minds active, expand their interests and to enjoy the fellowship of new friends.
