Founded in August 2024, Lyneham Probus Club brings together retired and semi-retired people to enjoy social interaction, stimulating activities, and lifelong learning in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Whether you're looking to make new friends, stay active, or explore new interests, our club offers a space for community and connection.
We are:
- Non-political
- Non-sectarian
- Not a fundraising organisation
Our diverse members range in age from 57 to 90+.

📝 Membership Information
You're welcome to attend up to three meetings or activities as a guest before deciding to join.
Membership Fees
- One-time joining fee: $30
- Annual fee: Set each March at our AGM
(Pro-rated if you join mid-year)
Annual fees cover:
- Capitation to Probus South Pacific
- Insurance for activities and outings
- Active Retirees e‑magazine (bi-monthly)
Induction Pack for New Members
Includes:
- Name badge
- Membership card
- Medical card
- Info on Probus travel insurance and benefits
🔒 Members are encouraged to wear their name badge and carry the Medical Card at all events.

📅 Monthly Meetings
🕙 When: 10:00 AM, 4th Thursday of each month
📍 Where: Easlake Gungahlin, Yowani Country Club
455 Northbourne Ave, Lyneham ACT
Each meeting includes:
- Club news & updates
- Morning tea and social time
- A guest speaker presentation
- Optional lunch together afterwards
🎉 Special Events
We host two major celebrations each year:
- Club Birthday Lunch – August
- Christmas Lunch – December (in place of regular meeting)
🚶 Outings & Activities
We offer a vibrant program of events, including:
- Guest speaker meetings (monthly)
- Friday lunches at restaurants around Canberra
- Member-led walking group
- Group visits to exhibitions, shows, and plays
- Casual movie group (member-suggested films)
Our enthusiastic Outings & Activities Sub-Committee is always looking for fun new experiences.
As our club grows, we plan to introduce even more activity groups.
Safety First
All attendees at outings or tours must complete a Registration Form with emergency contact details. Members are also encouraged to carry their Probus Medical Card at all times.
