OUR CLUB HISTORY

In 1987 the Rotary Club of Cronulla saw the need for a second Probus club in the Cronulla area.  Peter Warr, in his capacity of the Rotary Probus Extension Board, chaired an expression of interest at the South Cronulla Bowling and Recreation Club on Wednesday 25th November. At this meeting it was decided to proceed and to name the club the Port Hacking Probus Club.  The foundation members were predominantly members of the Probus club of Cronulla and the South Cronulla Bowling & Recreation club. Membership at that time were for men only.  As at the 25th November meeting, Noel Burgess, as the foundation President declared that "The inaugural meeting of the Port Hacking Probus Club is now in progress"

In November 1996 the club voted to admit women to the membership and become a Combined Probus Club
