History of The Shoalwater Ladies Probus Club Inc.
On May 19th 1989, 14 ladies met with two members of the Rockingham Districts Rotary Club and the President of the Probus Association of WA to discuss the formation of a Ladies Probus Club in the Rockingham area.
The name of "Shoalwater Ladies Probus Club" was decided upon because most of the fourteen ladies lived in or near Shoalwater.
The Rockingham District Rotary Club presented the new Shoalwater Ladies Probus Club with their own regalia-gong and mallet.
The club began with 34 members and one year later, in June 1990, this had grown to 55.
At the end of 1998, membership had risen to our maximum number of 100.
In 2021 we have 75 members and always looking for new ladies to join.
