Event: Tour of Lanyon Homestead
Today we experience the restored 1850s homestead with a guided tour, discover the convict-era outbuildings and explore the stunning gardens that make Lanyon Homestead a gem in Canberra’s history.
Step into the Story at Lanyon Homestead back to the time well before Canberra was established and discover the fascinating stories of the families that lived and worked there.
Arrive at Lanyon Homestead at approximately 10.45am for tour beginning at 11.00am
Admission: Concession $8.00 (Pay on Day for 45-minute tour) PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD ONLY
Additional exploration of the outbuildings that made this pastoral property a showpiece in the region including a Convict Barn. Take a leisurely stroll through the rambling gardens surrounding the homestead and enjoy the outbuildings that complete the story of how it functioned.
Lunch: A booking has been made for lunch at 12 noon at The Barracks which offers a contemporary rustic menu within the beautiful Lanyon Homestead precinct.

Event: National Museum of Australia/Discovering Ancient Egypt
Journey to the land of the pyramids to discover stunning objects from the remarkable collection of the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities (Rijksmuseum van Oudheden).

This year we have chosen a new venue for Christmas in July with a buffet lunch of traditional Christmas fare at beautiful Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club.
Cost: $45.00 p.p. with payment to the Club Bank Account before July meeting.
