      Welcome to the Broadbeach Ladies Probus Club

What is Probus?

The basic purpose of a Probus club is to provide regular gatherings of persons, who, in their retirement appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances with similar levels of interest.Probus opens the door to new experiences and friendships, you can hear wonderful guest speakers, stay active by participating in a range of activities and explore your community, your country or the world.

Our Probus Club is not a service organizations and we do not engage in fundraising, sectarian or political activities. We exist purely for the benefit and interest of the members. PROBUS Clubs are non-profit and are organized and managed by member volunteers.

The main activity of our club is a monthly meeting which usually features a speaker on a subject of general interest or special value to our members, Morning Tea and Lucky Door Prize tickets. We have an outing day once a month.

As an affiliate of Probus South Pacific Ltd  (PSPL), all Probus members are covered by insurance through PSPL, during Club Meetings and Activities.   


Our Meetings 

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Kurrawa Surf Club, Broadbeach at 9.30am. Our morning consists of a short meeting regarding the clubs business then followed by a lovely morning tea and a chat. An iinteresting guest speaker follows our morning tea. The meeting usually closes at 11.30. Most of the ladies continue on with lunch at the surf club.

On the 4th Tuesday of the month is our outing day where we participate in lovely lunches, occassional bus trip, the our annual game of Putt Putt and many other interesting activities.
