HISTORY OF CECIL HILLS PROBUS CLUB |

Probus South Pacific used FaceBook to invite retired and semi retired residents to attend an Information Session on Thursday 6 June 2024 at the Cecil Hills Community Centre. Fortythree residents accepted the invitation to attend the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Monica Prasad and Elvis Law from Probus South Pacific Head Office in Parramatta.Thirtyfive residents attended the meeting and heard about the objectives of Probus Clubs and the many benefits of belonging to a Probus Club, including meeting like-minded people, enjoying outings and hearing from inspirational speakers. A resolution was passed to form the Cecil Hills Probus Club, sponsored by Rotary Club of Loganholme. A constitution was accepted. A management committee was formed: |

Attendees voted to hold monthly meetings on the first Thursday of the month at 10.00 am at the Cecil Hills Community Centre. A one-off joining fee of $30.00 was set, with an annual membership fee of $60.00. An additional meeting fee of $5.00 was also set. The Cecil Hills Probus Club has twenty nine foundation members drawn from the Cecil Hills area and its neighbouring suburbs in the Liverpool and Fairfield LGAs. |
