Interesting guest speakers do a presentation at each of our monthly meetings.  In April 2023 we enjoyed a presentation about the National Arboretum. In May we had a speaker from Vision Australia.  In June our speaker was a volunteer at the National Botanic Gardens.  In July our speaker told us about his solo 2400km kayak expedition.  August our speakers was from the ACT Libraries.  September we had a talk about Japanese culture.  In October the Artistic Director from Music for Canberra told us about the sponsorship and mentoring of young musicians. 

In April 2024 Dr Brad Tucker, Astrophysicist/Cosmologist at the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics and Mount Stromlo Observatory was the speaker.  He has spoken to one of our meeting in the past, and is always very interesting. 

Our first speaker in the new Probus year at our April meeting, is Dr Mark Lax.  Dr Lax's presentation is "Magellan, Spice and the Conquest of the Pacific".  His Bio is available on the Internet.
