We welcome you to John Oxley Combined Probus Club Tamworth Inc.   This site is in its early stages of development and we invite you to return from time to time to view our progress with updated information.

Early Days

A meeting of men only was held in March, 1993.   The meeting decided that it should be a mixed club, so the actual first meeting of the Club as a mixed club was held in April, 1993.   (Merv Hammond).

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Tamworth Community Centre, Darling Street, Tamworth commencing at 10.00 a.m. and finishing at 12 noon.   The meetings are started with the Probus Prayer, followed by a guest speaker.   Guest speakers invited present a most informative relevant subject of which they are well versed.   Morning tea follows, which is a half hour social time, before the monthly meeting is conducted.   Each month at the conclusion of the meeting, members and visitors proceed to a preselected venue for lunch.  

Visitors are always welcome to attend our meetings.
