Focal Point Cinema & Café

Coffee Club – We meet for morning tea on the Friday following our monthly meetings every month. Everyone is welcome, especially new members and those celebrating a birthday.

Movies – On the Monday following our monthly meeting we meet at the Focal Point Cinema for Mondays Seniors morning, this includes a free morning tea before the movie starts.

Writers Group - This is a new group that meets once a month and is proving popular with our keen writers.

Trips and events

Regular trips are organised; in the past we have visited a fully computerised dairy farm, “Operatunity” concerts, Wellington Maritime Museum & a tour around Parliament, Government house, a herb farm, the Police College & museum. A visit to a Gin distillery proved very popular as there were Gin based cocktails included!

These trips usually include lunch which is sometimes the most popular part of the trip.

We have a special morning tea at our October meeting to celebrate Probus month and in December we meet for a Christmas lunch with entertainment. Our Christmas lunch is so popular we are looking at having a mid-winter Christmas lunch as well next year.
