Welcome to Ngunnawal Combined Probus Club Inc.
Welcome to the Ngunnawal Combined Probus Club located in Canberra's Gungahlin region. Our members meet monthly on the fourth Monday of the month at 10:15am in the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club off Gundaroo Drive. A demographic profile of our membership shows the majority come from the Gungahlin suburbs with a smattering from Belconnen suburbs and the remainder from as far afield as Hume. We provide an opportunity for retired and semi-retired people where the emphasis is on Friendship, Fun and Fellowship. These keep our minds active, expand our interests and make new friends.
Probus Clubs are non-political and non-sectarian. They are non-profit making and do not raise funds for charity. Probus opens the door to new experiences and friendships, you can hear wonderful guest speakers, stay active by participating in a wide range of activities and explore your community, your country or the world.
When
Meets on the 4th Monday of each month except for December when no meeting is held. The first meeting for the New Year is also on the fourth Monday in January.
What
The general meeting commences at 10:30am follwed by a morning tea/ coffee break. After the completion of our general meeting we have a “lucky door prize” for a bottle of wine, chocolates or other donated item. The final event for the meeting is usually our guest speaker or other club organised event.
To build friendships, after the meeting some members choose to stay to socialise with other members and enjoy a lunch in the club’s bistro.
