The club is busy with activities and travel
Our club always has a full list of travel plans and activities for members. Travel includes group day-trips to scenic or historic areas in and around Sydney, usually including lunch at a local restaurant. Typical examples being a Pittwater cruise, a tour of the site of Western Sydney Airport and Camden, a visit to Hyde Park Barracks and Mitchell Library, a tour of Government House in Sydney, and a guided tour of the Archibald Prize at AGNSW.
The club also makes longer group tours, lasting several days, to more distant places. In recent years, these have included a silo Art tour in Victoria, a visit to Fraser (K'gari) Island, a train trip to Broken Hill and White Cliffs, and a stay at Dubbo Zoo. Each year in July, we have a trip to a venue in NSW for a Yuletide Lunch.
The club’s busy schedule of activities includes a "$2.50 Club" which visits places of interest around Sydney using public transport. We also arrange groups from the club to musical and theatre productions, usually using coach transort. The club organises occasional lunches, including a very popular Christmas Lunch which is attended by most of our membership, with entertainment by members.
The club also has a monthly coffee catch-up, a book exchange table and group walks at places of interest.
Members pay all their own costs for travel and activities, including a share of bus transport. Partners and friends are welcomed to join in the club’s travel and activities.
