Current Standing Resolutions
The club has a set of Standing Resolutions to complement the Constitution and assist with governance. The Standing Resolutions are reviewed and ratified annually at the Club's AGM or changes can be made and approved by a majority of members at a General Meeting during the year if necessary. Upcoming Proposed Changes
Probus South Pacific Ltd (PSPL) have proposed a new Constitution for all Probus clubs. The Committee is currently reviewing this and will explain this proposed Constitution to the membership in coming months, and the membership will then be asked to formally accept it. This proposed new Constitution is simpler that the current Constitution, has been reviewed by PSPL's legal team as well as approved by the NSW Department of Fair Trading. It is shown below:

Also, in order to have our current Standing Resolutions compatible with the new Constitution, a number of small changes (largely superficial) were needed. The basic content remains unchanged and some sentances have been slightly re-worded to increase clarity. In addition, the new position of Deputy Treasurer has been added. This person will assist the Treasurer with managing the Club's monies. The proposed draft of the Standing Resolutions is shown below, and will be put to a General Meeting for approval (notice of this motion will be included in the May Newsletter):
