Curating a new museum for Sydney

Jackie Dunn is Senior Curator, Exhibitions at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In 2021 she co-curated Matisse: Life & Spirit, Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou, Paris, as well as the Art Gallery’s associated gallery-wide exhibition program of contemporary art, Matisse Alive. That year she was also facilitating curator for an exhibition of leading international video artists, Family: Visions of a Shared Humanity. In 2019, she was curator of Dora Ohlfsen and the Facade Commission (which led to a new commission for the Art Gallery’s heritage frontage by Karla Dickens installed late 2022) and, in 2018, curator of The Lady and the Unicorn from the Musée de Cluny, Paris. At the Art Gallery, she has also worked as researcher on major exhibitions such as Masters of Modern Art from the Hermitage (2018) and Nude: Art from the Tate Collection (2016), and as creator of projects such as Behind the Scenes, which opened the Art Gallery’s working collection processes up for public viewing in 2018.
