Marlene Mathews 

 Marlene Mathews is well known as a highly accomplished Australian sprinter from the 1950s and early 1960s. She is celebrated for her numerous world records and achievements, including multiple medals at the Olympics and Commonwealth Games. She is also recognized for her contributions to athletics as a coach and administrator after her competitive career.

After retiring from competitive racing, she continued to contribute to athletics as a coach and administrator, including serving as an Assistant Manager for the Australian Olympic team in Munich.

She was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1979 and an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 1999, and inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 1985.

Marlene was a leading figure in Australian women's sprinting during a period of intense competition, alongside other notable athletes like Marjorie Jackson, Betty Cuthbert, and Shirley Strickland.

Marlene set multiple world records in various sprint events, including the 440 yards and 400 meters in 1957, and the 100 yards and 220 yards in 1958.

Marlene won bronze medals in the 100m and 200m at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics and gold medals in the 100 yards and 220 yards at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

Hearing - Link between hearing the brain & dementia

Andrew Campbell has a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology and a Master of Clinical Audiology. His masters thesis was on Quality of Life and Hearing Rehabilitation in adults and this has been the focus of his 21 year career. His career has mainly comprised treatment of hearing loss in his own practices; supervising, mentoring and training audiologists across a range of international settings. He has had additional certificate level training in Neuroscience and has specific research interest in untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline with has informed his two books, Hearing & Brain Health and Your Resilient Brain.
