Most months we have an outing somewhere for lunch. Given our location on Brisbane Water, some of the venues can be reached by ferry, such as Woy Woy and Davistown, making for a more interesting outing. We have enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Dart and Feather restaurant at Davistown, just a short ferry ride across the water. At other times we have been to a Greek restuarant in Woy Woy, the cafe at the Gosford Regional Gallery, the Bayview Hotel at Woy Woy and Daley's Point cafe/kitchen. During 2018-19 we went a bit further afield for lunches, including to Mangrove Mountain and Ken Duncan's Gallery.

Lunch venues in 2020 include the Sunken Monkey at Erina and the Palm Beach Club, which we will access via the ferry from Ettalong. We will also lunch at Elanora Hotel, Impact Nursery cafe, the Bayview as well as a cruise on Lake Macquarie. See our latest newsletter for more information. You are welcome to join us at these lunches, as a visitor to our club.

Ettalong Diggers Club put on occasional shows, with live entertainment, and we have been along to some of these. In 2018 we had a good roll-up to the Christmas in July show at the Diggers, featuring a Rod Stewart and Elton John show. In May 2020 we will b e going along to a Good Morning Ettalong now at the Diggers.

In the last past couple of years we have been down to Sydney (we travel by train) for the Premier's Gala ConcertMamma Mia and the Jersey Boys. In mid 2018 a small group went down by train for the Vivid Sydney festival - a late night but a very enjoyable social outing. Last year we ventured to Sydney for a visit to the Maritime Museum.

We organise group bookings at certain shows and events, both in Sydney and on the coast. These included at Christmas show at Ettalong Diggers and a show at Wyong Arts Theatre in February 2020.

One of the most important aspects of belonging to Empire Bay Probus Club is to have some opportunities for regular social interaction. Each month we have a casual coffee meet-up at Daley's Kitchen, meeting at 10am. New and prospective members are especially welcome.

In April 2019 members traveled by coach to Newcastle, stopping at Norah Head for morning tea, In 2020 we are planning day trips to the Hunter Valley and Maitalnd/Morpeth.
