Here is what you should do in the event of a fire:
- · Make sure you have working smoke alarms fitted throughout your home, including in bedrooms. This way, you’ll be alerted as soon as possible if there is a fire.
- · Create a home escape plan to ensure you know the quickest and safest possible exit.
- · Keep keys in door and window locks in case of an emergency - every second counts.
- · In the event of a fire; get out, stay out, and call Triple Zero (000).
- · Wait for the firefighters to arrive and never go back inside.
