Probus Sorrento combined INC on Queensland’s Gold Coast, which meets at Southport Bowls Club, every second Thursday of each month (except for December our Christmas Lunch and January each Year)

Fun, Fellowship and Friendship, that is what you can expect at our club meetings and outings. We have several bus trips each year leaving about 8, am returning about four, these are arranged by our Social Secretary Beverly Ellis, they are fun trips and enjoyed by many people from our club.

This year our President is Glenys Holms who opens the meetings with a Welcome, then proceeds with President’s report of notable happenings This is followed by our Social Secretary, treasurer, coffee morning report…welfare, then it’s on to our Guest Speaker who normally is very informative…recently we had Russ Wallington who has lifetime on radio, and was extremely informative and Funny. The Gold Coast Botanical Gardens sent two members who gave and informative talk on the Gardens. Another guest speaker Councillor Dawn Chrichlow.

Barbara Mathieson organises Coffee mornings, where usually monthly, a friendly get together…over a “cuppa”

Beverly Zelinski past president acts as Secretary and assists in other areas when required and her aiisistance was very much appreciated when Bev acts as Secretary… I filled in for Glenys when She was not available.
