Tours and Outings 

Much work goes into organising an exciting annual program of tours and outings.  These have been varied and are always interesting and enjoyable. Local places of interest visited have included museums, art galleries, Parliament House, Government House, places of historic interest, and medical and other research centres. Tours to places further away have included to the Scenic Rim, Mt Tamborine, Toowoomba, Tweed Valley, Moreton Bay Islands, Nambour, Lockyer Valley and more.

Some tours have been overnight or longer excursions such as those to Gympie/Tin Can Bay, Agnes Water and the Town of 1770, Murray River, Yamba Valley, Longreach, Canberra, Victorian High Country and Tasmania. One tour was to the Cook Islands, where members donated boxes of books to a local school.
