ATTENDING MEMBERS:
PrimeSCI! reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone displaying signs of illness including, but not restricted to fever, flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat, fatigue and shortness of breath.
OHS REQUIREMENTS: All tours are approximately 90 minutes long. Little walking is involved, however, all participants are required to stand for the entire duration of the tour, as no seating is available.
Cafeteria: If you would like to have lunch at the facility.
IMPORTANT PRE-VISIT INFORMATION: Please refer to the visitor information webpage at http://www.synchrotron.org.au/about-us/visiting-us for further information regarding your visit and familiarise yourself and your members with the 'Safe Work Method and Environmental Statement' and the 'Visitor Safety Information' documents, attached to this email. Please let us know if any of the medical conditions listed are of concern to members of your group, as we will have to inform the Synchrotron prior to your visit.
ARRIVAL: Please enter via Blackburn Road. As you enter, please press the bell next to the boom gate and tell security that you have arrived for a tour of the facility.
BUS PARKING: A few bays to park and leave a bus for the day are available on site, see attached map.
CAR PARKS: Car parks are situated to the left of the boom gate.
Once you have parked your car/bus, please make your way to the NCSS building (see attached map).
Personal Health ConditionAn individual who has been fitted with the following medical devices must inform the designated ANSTO staff member on arrival:? a cardiac pacemaker or implantable defibrillator? a catheter that has metal components? a metal clip placed to prevent bleeding from an intracranial aneurysm? a medication pump (such as that used to deliver insulin or a pain-relieving drug)? a cochlear (inner ear) implantDue to the presence of strong magnetic fields in certain areas, you will NOT be able to enter the Storage Ring and Booster Ring tunnels . In addition, you must keep a reasonable distance (of at least 1m) from all beamline equipment.
