TOOWOOMBA CARNIVAL OF FLOWERS - THURSDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER 2023

Our trip to Toowoomba to see the Carnival of Flowers was on Thursdy 14th September 2023.  Morning tea was provided at Picnic Point in Toowoomba.  After a visit to Queens Park we had lunch at the City Golf Club and then visited Laurel Bank Park before heading home.

THURSDAY 10TH AUGUST - CROSS RIVER RAIL EXPERIENCE

Cross River Rail Experience Centre (at 1/151 Elizabeth St) was a wonderful centre with multiple features, especially their Virtual Reality theatre. This features a ride in a train on the VR route. It also includes other VR experiences.  There were numerous other attractions such as consoles that you can use to view multiple sites including the routes of the line and images of the planned stations along the routes.

This was held at Lota Reserve on the foreshore in Lota to socialise with our new president Olga.

Around 20 members visited the Brisbane Metro Information Exhibition at the Queen Alexandra Building 63 Adelaide Street in the City.
