LUNCH AT KRANKY GOAT, TUESDAY, 12th OCTOBER 2021

The General Meeting was followed by a sumtuous lunch at the Kranky Goat in Tallwoods Village, which was pre-ordered and served at 12noon. Thirty four members were able to enjoy further fellowship over lunch. Several compliments were received from attendees about the quality of the food at the Kranky Goat, and generally on how well the meeting-lunch combination worked well at this venue. 

WINTERFEST LUNCH AT NABIAC HOTEL, TUESDAY, 3rd AUGUST 2021

33 members and guests attended the Winterfest lunch, which followed the previously planned Christmas in July theme, at the Nabiac Hotel, which commenced at 12:30 for 1:00pm. Attendees enjoyed a roast main course, followed by dessert and tea/coffee, as well as fellowship with Probus and other friends. Cost was $25 per person. Pics taken of the day follow.

  

 

BILLABONG ZOO DAY TRIP, TUESDAY, 15th JUNE 2021

Marilyn organised this day trip to Billabong Zoo, meeting at 10:00am at the Zoo. Entry was $35 per person, $33 concession, and Service NSW $25 vouchers could be used. Payments were able to be made at the Zoo to gain entry. Picnic facilities were available so attendees could take their own lunch. Halliday Shores bus was booked out. Attendees made their own travel arrangements and car pooling was encouraged.  

BBQ & BOULES, TUESDAY, 25th MAY 2021

18 members attended this event which commenced at 12noon at Black Head Reserve. Organiser Helen Bush provided sausages, bread, onions and sauce, and she had some help with the cooking in the form of Allan Buckingham on teh onions and Ian Campbell on the sausages. The food was followed by the boules competition, which was won by Marg Lock, taking the dolphin trophy from the previous winner, Mavis Coles. President Jack presented the trophy (photos below).

     

CRUISE ON WALLIS LAKE ON THE 'FREE SPIRIT', THURSDAY, 29th APRIL 2021

Activities Officer, Marilyn Ewin, advised that 15 members attended the 2½ hour boat cruise on the 'Free Spirit' last Thursday, which commenced with lunch on board following the 12noon departure, and everyone enjoyed taking in the highlights of Wallis Lake during the afternoon.

LUNCH AT CLUB BLACKHEAD, TUESDAY, 2nd MARCH 2021, 12 NOON

36 members attended Club Blackhead for lunch following the General Meeting and AGM. Some photos follow showing members enjoying the fellowship of Probus in a relaxed atmosphere.

MORNING TEA, KRANKY GOAT, TALLWOODS VILLAGE, FRIDAY, 12th FEBRUARY 2021, 10:30 am

16 members attended the Devonshire morning tea held at the Kranky Goat in Tallwoods Village on Friday, 12th February 2021, at 10:30am. Attendees enjoyed the fellowship of other members, the clean country air, the fresh scones and their choice of tea or coffee.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH, HALLIDAYS POINT TAVERN, 1st DECEMBER 2020

In excess of 50 members attended the Christmas Lunch at the Hallidays Point Tavern following the December meeting at the Surf Club. COVID compliance dominated the proceedings, with attendees registering their attendance and ensuring that all the COVID requirements were met. Meals were ordered from the Tavern's usual lunch menu and enjoyed in the company of fellow members in the comfortable outdoor area. Some members expressed the view that they were happy to be back together again and were looking forward to some semblance of normality returning in 2021. Tavern staff were very helpful on the day, and Manager Guy was very cooperative, both on the day and in the planning stages for the event, ensuring that members had a pleasant experience. A big thank you to Guy and his staff. Thanks you also to President Pat, committee members and other helpers who delivered this event under difficult circumstances.    

PICNIC LUNCH, SALTWATER PICNIC AREA, 4th AUGUST 2020

The picnic outing at Saltwater Reserve, Wallabi Point, was attended by 39 club members and guests on Tuesday, 4th August in the very spacious picnic area on a perfect fine and warm day. It was an ideal venue for self-distancing ourselves plus keeping it casual and a great way to re-connect with our Probus friends in a picnic atmosphere. Car pooling was arranged from the Foodworks carpark at Black Head at 11AM. Some photos from the day follow.
