Brisbane City Council's Growing Old Living Dangerously (GOLD) Program

As we approach our new Club year, I believe the Brisbane City Council's Growing Old Living Dangerously (GOLD) Program may be of interest. Most activities are either free or at a low cost and may assist with your Club’s activity planning.

The GOLD Program invites us all to explore a variety of options and is a great opportunity for us all to stay active, learn new skills, and connect with the others in our local community, which is what Probus is all about.

Highlights include:

  • Fitness Classes: Yoga, tai chi, and water aerobics.
  • Creative Workshops: Arts and crafts sessions for all skill levels.
  • Educational Workshops: Topics like computer skills, gardening, and cooking.
  • Outdoor Activities: Guided walks, bird watching, and canoeing.
  • Social and Special Events: Regular meetups and festive celebrations

The GOLD Program can be downloaded by clicking here

I do hope that you find this program helpful.

Yours in Probus friendship,

Judith Maestracci AM
Representative Member/Director for Queensland, PSPL

Advance Care Planning - communicating your wishes for future health care.

The Statewide Office of Advance Care Planning is a statewide service, hosted by Metro South Health, that helps to promote the important process of advance care planning.

Planning in advance helps those close to you make health care decisions on your behalf, if you are unable to make those decisions for yourself. It provides comfort for you and your loved ones knowing you have done your best to ensure your wishes can be respected. Advance care planning is a completely voluntary process.
