Membership of Manly District Probus Club is open to men and women.  Prospective members are invited to attend 2 general meetings before applying for membership. Membership limits are 90 ordinary members and 3 life members. Current numbers are 40 and 3 respectively.  Fees for new members are a Joining Fee of $10 and Membership Fee of $35, the latter being pro-ratad depending on the joining date.  Annual membership renewal is currently $35 due from 1 April each year.

Lunch is provided by the Balgowlah RSL Club, Ethel Street, Seaforth at a cost of $30 and consists of a hot meal followed by tea or coffee.  The RSL will cater for any special dietary needs once our Committee has been notified accordingly by a member.  For catering purposes, Balgowlah RSL now requires members to book lunch with the Treasurer a week before the meeting date.  Online bookings/payment to the Club bank account are now requested.

Life Members

Life Memberships, up to a total of three in number, can be awarded to longer-term members who are deemed by the Committee to have made a substantial contribution to the Club.  Current life members are Clare Hurley, Gordon Latimer and Lyn Brinson.  Should a vacancy occur, members will be invited by the President to nominate another member, in writing, to fill the vacancy.

Lyn Brinson is our most recent appointee being awarded this honour in May 2021.  Lyn has been an active member since December 1999.  Two months after she joined, Lyn was appointed Club Secretary and has held an impressive array of Committee responsibilities since, these including first Vice President then President, Speaker Coordinator, Membership contact, and 7 years as Welfare person.  In fact this is her 14th year in a Committee position!

Please contact Janette on 9982 3633 if you are interested in joining the Club.

Robert will be assisted by his wife, Sue, who has been appointed Vice President.
