Dinner plus Movie - 1st Tuesday of the month Dinner & Movie Night, usually the 1st Tuesday of the month meeting at 5pm at Kafe Meze, 409 Honour Ave, Graceville. Greek food, BYO drinks or licensed. Order & pre-pay at counter on arrival. Licensed, with BYO. Corkage fee for our group has been waived. Regal Cinema movies usually commence around 6:30 - 7:15 pm. Dinner, movie or both. Games Group: Mahjong - 10am to mid-day every Thursday (9:50am arrival) Mahjong, Scrabble and Canasta - 9:00 - 11:00, every Tuesday, EXCEPT on the second Tuesday of the month (arrive 10 minutes early). Location: Indooroopilly Hub (iHub), 60 Stamford Rd, Indooroopilly, in a corner of Keating Park (across the road from Indooroopilly Shopping Centre). The setup is excellent with an air conditioned venue, tables and chairs, mah-jong sets, games etc all ready to use. Joining the Hub: If you join the Hub you can take part in any Hub activities as often as you like; please email [email protected] to request a Membership Application Form, or pop in and pick one up in person. Annual membership is $10 and there is a cost of $2 to attend a particular session. This cost provides tea/coffee and biscuits as well as general expenses. This fee structure is very economical. PROPOSED TOUR TO COFFS HARBOUR / BELLENGEN / YAMBA / BALLINA – Put together by Rob JIn September, 2024 (exact date to be determined) by Granite Highlands Maxi Tours DAY 1: Depart Brisbane to Ballina for morning tea at The Gallery Café Ballina. Lunch at Ulmarra Hotel, then to Carobana Factory, Korora Bay, then to Lookout Mountain Retreat Motel, Dorrigo. 6.30pm Dinner at the Retreat Restaurant DAY 2: Breakfast at motel 8.30am Depart motel to Griffiths Lookout, then to Dorrigo National Park for short walk to Information Centre / Skywalk with morning tea at the Canopy Café. Tour around Dorrigo including a visit to the Old Railway Precinct which houses hundreds of old NSW railway carriages and locomotives, then to Dangar Falls with time to browse shops. Lunch at the Dorrigo Hotel, then to Ebor Falls and back to Lookout Mountain Retreat Motel 6.30pm Dinner at Retreat Restaurant DAY 3: 7.30am Breakfast at motel 8.45am Depart motel for Bellingen to browse shops and the Old Yellow Shed, then to the Old Butter Factory for morning tea, then to the Honey Place, Urunga for tastings. Then to The Clog Barn for lunch and clog making demonstration, then tour the jetty area and The Bunker Cartoon Gallery. Return to Lookout Mountain Retreat Motel for 6.30pm dinner at Retreat Restaurant DAY 4: 7.30am Breakfast at Retreat Restaurant. 8.30am Load coach and travel to Coramba and Glenreagh for morning tea. Then travel to Maclean for lunch, then to Yamba for a short tour and arrive at Yamba Aston Motel. 6.30pm Dinner at Bowling Club DAY 5: Breakfast at Flinders Rose Café'. Load coach with time to browse Yamba shops, then board Clarence River Ferries Cruise with light lunch included. Continue to Ballina Island Motel stopping at New Italy Museum. 6.30pm Dinner at motel restaurant DAY 6: 7.30am Load coach and drive to Shelly Beach Café for breakfast. In September, many whales can be sighted close to shore migrating south. Travel to Byron Bay, visit Byron Bay Lighthouse Lookout and then travel aboard the Solar Train. Proceed to Margaret Olley Art Gallery, Murwillumbah, then to Tumbulgum Hotel for lunch, then to Brisbane All Inclusive cost $1,300.00 twin share, $1650.00 single |
