Dinner plus Movie - 1st Tuesday of the month Dinner & Movie Night, usually the 1st Tuesday of the month meeting at 5pm at Kafe Meze, 409 Honour Ave, Graceville. Greek food, BYO drinks or licensed. Order & pre-pay at counter on arrival. Licensed, with BYO. Corkage fee for our group has been waived. Regal Cinema movies usually commence around 6:30 - 7:15 pm. Dinner, movie or both. Games Group: Mahjong - 10am to mid-day every Thursday (9:50am arrival) Mahjong, Scrabble and Canasta - 9:00 - 11:00, every Tuesday, EXCEPT on the second Tuesday of the month (arrive 10 minutes early). Location: Indooroopilly Hub (iHub), 60 Stamford Rd, Indooroopilly, in a corner of Keating Park (across the road from Indooroopilly Shopping Centre). The setup is excellent with an air conditioned venue, tables and chairs, mah-jong sets, games etc all ready to use. Joining the Hub: If you join the Hub you can take part in any Hub activities as often as you like; please email [email protected] to request a Membership Application Form, or pop in and pick one up in person. Annual membership is $10 and there is a cost of $2 to attend a particular session. This cost provides tea/coffee and biscuits as well as general expenses. This fee structure is very economical. TOUR TO DORRIGO / BELLENGEN / YAMBA / BALLINA – Put together by Rob J21 members have registered for this great 6 day/5 night tour organized by Granite Highlands Maxi Tours to Northern NSW from Monday, 23 September to Saturday, 28 September, 2024. Besides visiting interesting places, we stay the first 3 nights at one motel, Lookout Mountain Retreat Motel, Dorrigo, then Yamba and Ballina on the way back. There is so much to see in this area, beautiful and rugged mountain scenery and waterfalls, river cruise on the Clarence River at Yamba, whale watching from Shelly Beach Cafe at Ballina while having breakfast, travel on Australia's only Solar powered train at Byron Bay and visit the Margaret Olley Art Gallery at Murwillumbah amongst other attractions. There are still 9 vacancies, but we must confirm motel bookings soon. The full itinerary has been published in the 3 previous newsletters and if you would like more information, please contact Rob. Cost is $1,300.00 twin share, $1,650.00 single room.
