On the 16th of July 15 of us Bathurst Probus ladies plus one guest ( Robyn, Ann’s daughter) went to NSW Parliament House for Christmas in July The train was slow and a little delayed but we made it in time for lunch plus the sun was shining and it was quite warm in Sydney after a freezing minus 4, frosty and foggy start to our day
There was lots of chatter on the train going so a good thing we didn’t get in the quiet carriage
We were seated in The Strangers Restaurant There was a Christmas tree, Santa and even had Christmas crackers on the table so it felt like Christmas
The service was excellent, staff friendly and food was delicious with lots of choice of all 3 courses so difficult to choose but we all choose well in the end after much deliberation and enjoyed our meal and the Chocolate Christmas Bauble was to die for
When we found out that mushrooms were in the roasted onion the conversation changed to guilty or not guilty!!! and guilty was the verdict of most of us and we were all pleased that Beef Wellington was not on the menu !!!
Everyone had full tummies and could hardly move after Some had a glass of vino and others even had a G&T but we made it back to Central ok and got on the train back to a cold Bathurst
As tired as we were the conversation flowed yet again all the way back  home
The  final verdict was that it was an excellent and enjoyable day for the 2nd year running so well done and a huge thank you to Pauline for organising a perfect day Much appreciated by all of  us.
