On Monday, May 5th, we embarked on a one-day mystery coach tour, thoughtfully organised by our wonderful trips' organiser, Merv Poyner. Our destination was Meredith. Meredith is a town in Victoria, located on the Midland Highway between Ballarat and Geelong. At the 2021 census, Meredith had a population of 821.

We began with a tour of the Meredith History Group exhibition, which featured a variety of exhibits including impressive 3-D sculptures | Morning tea was served in a shearing shed, where our driver skilfully sheared a sheep for our entertainment. Following this, the property's owner, who is also a shearer, treated us to an impromptu piano recital showcasing his remarkable talent. |
Lunch at the Rustic Ram was complemented by a stroll through one of the most extraordinary succulent gardens around. The Rustic Ram has an artistic theme that includes an art gallery, gift shop, and a stunning display of unique metal sculptures scattered throughout the gardens.
