Making a Contribution to our Club in 2024-25

It is now time for members to think about how they can make a contribution to our club for the next Probus year which commences in April 2024.    

Please consider the following:

 

1. Nominating for a Position on the

All positions, except for the Immediate Past President, will eventually be declared vacant for the next Probus year.

Nominations have already been invited and will close for the new Management Committee at the end of the 2024 February General Meeting.   

Several of the current committee members have already decided that they will not be renominating.  Shortly, a list of positions that will not be covered will be announced and also published.

Roles currently covered by Committee Members include:

President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Newsletter Editor, Trips and Outings Coordinator, Caring Officer, Safety Officer, Immediate Past President, Club Attendance Officer

2. Taking on a Role or Assisting with a Role Outside the Committee

There are lots of roles and responsibilities outside the Management Committee where members can contribute to the running of the Club.   

A Sign Up sheet will be available at the November General Meeting like this one here which shows the initials of the current members in the various roles. 

This sheet will be available at the November, December and February General meetings.

 

3.  Being a Club Activity Leader or Assisting with a Club Activity

Maybe you can run or assist with one of the many scheduled Club Activities.  

A Sign Up sheet for Club Activity Leaders will be available like this one here at the November, December and February General Meetings.  

Maybe you would like to test the waters by running a new activity.  If so, you will need to run it past the current committee first.
