The Postman's Run: Cost $55 (cost includes a morning tea and a ploughman's lunch)

Join us for our February "White Pants Event"! Come cruising with us on the Hawkesbury Mail Boat, the famous Riverboat Postman, and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the lower Hawkesbury River as the postie delivers the mail and other essentials (the odd bottle of whiskey or rum...) to the river-access-only settlements upriver from Brooklyn. You can either drive or catch the train (catch the Metro to Epping and then catch the train to Hawkesbury River Station)

Wednesday 24 April

Bus Tour around Camden: cost $105

 

The coach will leave for Camden from the Sports Club, where we can park our cars before getting on the coach. The cost of $105.00 covers morning tea, lunch, a tour guide and a visit to a winery. If you are interested, please put your name down on the Expression of Interest sheet at the outings desk.

It's our 35th birthday and we hope you can join us as we celebrate. This is one of our major events of the year and is always a good day with lots of good friends - also we enjoy some canapes and a drink, on arrival, and a delicious 2 course lunch.

Female Factory: cost $10

Parramatta Female Factory 

Arrive at 10am for coffee at the Havenstone Cafe, in preparation for our 2 hour walk to start at 10.30am

Australia’s first Female Factory was established near the southern boundary of what is now known as Prince Alfred Park, Parramatta, circa 1802. (In the vicinity of the present-day Parramatta Riverside Theatres). From its humble inception, the Factory was intended to be a place where unassigned female convicts were gainfully employed in tasks that were beneficial to the colony, where their basic need for shelter was provided and where ‘corrupting influences’ could be kept at b­­­ay.The World Heritage-listed Cascades Female Factory tells the story of the displacement, mistreatment and forced migration of convict women and girls, and their contribution to colonisation throughout the history of colonial Australia to the present day.

Join us for our Christmas in July festivities at Robertson. We will be going by bus. We can leave our cars in the lower level of Baulkham Hills Sports Club. 

The Robertson Hotel’s renowned annual ‘Christmas in July’ festivities create cherished memories year upon year.  Join us in 2024 to celebrate ‘Christmas in July’ in the warmth of their Grand Historic Hotel. Over a glass of our house made mulled wine and by the roaring open fire celebrate their renowned traditional Christmas festivities with friends.
