22 September 2021:

Jenny A brought along a bed cover that she helped her daughter make for her grandson, whose birthday is next week.  He's obviously a Batman fan and will no doubt love his present that is dispayed here, with Penny's help.

8 September 2021:

Welcome back Liz, who has been enjoying the northern sunshine for the past two months.

Lesley meanwhile is attempting to finish a beautiful tapestry and we can't wait to see what she has planned for it.

11 August 2021:

Thank you Sue L for hosting this weeks craft group. Twelve ladies came along and had a very enjoyable morning, topped off with Sue's delicious morning tea. It was like a "show and tell," as there was so many finished items on show.  Sue L had finished her very colourful triangle blanket, while Sue M finally cast off on her amazing and delicately patterned knee rug. Meanwhile Norma was wearing her beautiful all-in-one knitted cardigan and delicate scarf, Sue L her knitted vest and Carolyn her top-down jumper.

28 July 2021:

Not even a fractured ankle keeps Annie away, with hubby John wheeling her in in her wheelchair.  Annie has just started a new jumper in green tweed, while Pam's scarf is making good progress.

14 July 2021:

Four of our ladies wore their finished garments to today's meeting - Sue M did an incredible job in making her all-in-one cardigan in super fast time, Carolyn wore her carnival coloured rib vest, Norma had on her knit-from-the-neck-down jumper topped off with a circular knitted cowel, and Sue L looked lovely and warm in her beautiful knitted jacket.

2 June 2021:

In between her triangles, Carole is knitting a cover for her European cushion, and Sue has nearly finished a lovely jumper for herself.

5 May 2021:

Judy has made a number of beanies in different sizes, that she will donate to Wanslea Family Services, an organisation that holds children and families at heart.

Lynne on the other hand felt like make something small for a change, but has yet to decide who she will give this cute little jumper to.

21 April 2021:

This time we're featuring Carole, who is very busy knitting diamonds - lots and lots of diamonds.  Eventually they will become a beautiful rug - watch this space......

24 March 2021:

I had always wanted to do some volunteer work when I retired. However, I realised that making a regular time commitment wasn’t going to be so straightforward for a number of reasons. Then I got chatting with Helen, our previous Communications Officer, who told me about KOGO where I could still contribute to the community in my own time. KOGO (Knit One Give One) is a not-for-profit organisation that accepts knitted items such as beanies, gloves, scarves, blankets and even toys and distributes them to those experiencing hardship. The childrens’ slippers in the photo are very quick to knit on a pair of 4mm needles with 8-ply yard doubled. Items can be dropped off to collection points or posted. Their website outlines their mission, and has easy patterns to follow: https://www.kogo.org.au/

I’ve really enjoyed being able to do something useful while giving me another reason to join the Craft and Coffee Group and share stories with other Probus members in a social environment.  Liz

10 March 2021:

Pam is busy working on the next stage of the Craft Groups take-home Christmas gifts

24 February 2021:

11 ladies enjoyed the craft and coffee gathering today.  Lesley H was busy making yet another childs beanie for charity.

10 February 2021:

The wearing of masks didn't deter 8 ladies from turning up for craft today. Seating separation applied also, but everyone was able to enjoy coffee, cake and a chat while attending their crafts.  Sue L is well on her way to making a warm jacket.

Annie had been busy cutting out material and padding for a project that would involve all the craft ladies in making up a take-home gift for everyone at this years Christmas dinner. You'll have to wait a while to see the finished articles.

27 January 2021:

The craft ladies enjoying their new venue with the bonus of delicious coffee and cakes.

Norma has nearly finished a beautiful warm scarf, ready for when winter arrives.

13 January 2021:

Another beautiful quilt completed - well done Jenny

An absolutely beautiful quilt made by Jenny
