August 2022

At the second craft meeting held in August Carol Hoult showed her beautiful patterned baby blanket she had finished recently.

Penny made this quilt for a relative, who lives in the Blue Mountains where it gets very chilly, who is an avid reader and lover of the English language.  She is the genealogist of the family and spends hours researching the family tree. That is her passion and Penny's is quilting, so that’s how the idea for a bookshelf quilt came about. On some of the book spines Penny has embroidered various family names including one that says “ Dinsdale Family Tree”

Carolyn is wearing her newly knitted jacket, finished just in time for the last days of winter.

Craft this fortnight was held at Sue's house, and the blustery weather enabled Sue L, Carolyn, Norma and Sue M to wear their warm knitted cardigans, with Pam turning up wearing her (marathon) scarf.  Well done to all ladies.

July 2022

New member Carol is busily knitting a beautiful baby wrap made up of a variey of patterns, and intends to make another in blue when she finishes this one.

June 2022

The Craft Group ladies had an excellent turnout of members on Wednesday morning at Tides Café with about 12 or 13 of them working feverishly on winter pullovers, scarves, beanies, socks and grandkids jumpers, while some just came for the fellowship. Norma was able to help resurrect a half completed pullover of both Fran’s and Sue’s, as well as continue with her own work. There was also plenty to chat about over coffee.

May 2022

The craft ladies have been busy, with Sue L wearing her newly finished and elegant bamboo and wool cardigan, and Sue M showing off her beautiful cashmere scarf.

Another beautiful work by Jenny A.  The quilt pattern is called "The Sopwell Ladies Basket Society Quilt."  The quilt is machine pieced, hand appliqued, hand embroidered and hand quilted.  It took Jenny about a year to make in fits and starts.  Now she has to figure out where she's going to put it.
